Development Director

Core responsibilities:

• Lead and execute fundraising strategy during pivotal growth phase, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, and foundation relationships
• Build, manage, and grow portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and major donors while stewarding existing donor base
• Select and implement CRM system to track donor relationships and build clear development systems and processes
• Develop compelling proposals, pitches, and donor materials that translate program impact into inspiring narratives

This role creates positive change by building sustainable fundraising strategies that support grassroots conservation efforts, empower environmental storytellers across 87 countries, and protect critical habitats through community-led initiatives, accelerating the transition to a sustainable future.

Required qualifications:

• 7+ years of senior-level fundraising or revenue leadership experience with clear ownership of results
• Proven success securing and growing 5- and 6-figure gifts from major individual donors and/or corporate partners
• Demonstrated experience building fundraising strategy, relationships, and processes from the ground up
• Exceptional relationship builder with ability to engage diverse constituencies including high-net-worth individuals, corporate partners, foundations, and senior leaders

Compensation and perks:

• $120,000 annually for 80% time commitment (equivalent to $150,000 full-time)
• Remote work location within the United States
• Occasional travel for donor cultivation (approximately once per month)
