Organization: Brave New Films (BNF) Reports to: President Classification: Exempt, Full-Time Location: Fully Remote (Pacific Time zone hours required) About the Role Brave New Films is seeking an experienced, fearless, and relationship-driven Development Director who is passionate about political impact and ready to help fuel meaningful change - and is an extrovert who thrives on human connections! This role is not for the faint of heart — nor for those who are risk-averse. We are a small but mighty team of full-time staff and freelancers: intensely political, deeply creative, and unapologetic in taking on powerful systems and adversaries. Key Responsibilities Relationship Building & Fundraising Create new and strengthen existing relationships with funders and foundations. Attend events and cultivate personal connections. Initiate and maintain regular, personalized contact with donors and prospects. Develop tailored engagement strategies to deepen donor commitment. Research & Data Management Utilize donor databases and CRMs to track engagement and log contact reports. Support data-informed fundraising strategies. Manage multiple donor-oriented tasks with precision and organization. Maintain exceptional efficiency with technology and systems. Proposal & Grant Support Draft compelling donor proposals, briefing materials, and grant reports. Collaborate with program staff to translate impact into powerful funding narratives. Support strategic fundraising initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Qualifications Proven success and experience managing relationships with foundations and major donors. Exceptional communication and writing skills. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Working Hours Core hours: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM PST Must be available and excited for opportunities with evening events and donor engagements as needed.
