Development Associate

• Drive growth of major gift prospect pool through research, cultivation, and stewardship activities.
• Manage email engagement and donor cultivation campaigns, including coordinating email distribution and crafting compelling stories.
• Lead development of annual report and create donor collateral to facilitate engagement.

This role directly supports CIEL's mission to use the power of law to protect the environment and promote human rights, ensuring the organization has resources to deliver high-impact campaigns that protect people and the planet.

• At least 2 years of development experience, preferably in an advocacy environment.
• Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with CRM maintenance and use (e.g., Blackbaud) or ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to work on multiple priorities concurrently and work well under pressure.

Salary range: $60,000-$70,000. Benefits include employer-subsidized health, dental, and vision; paid vacation, sick, and parental leave; 5% contribution to 403(b) retirement account; relocation stipend; professional development funding; paid sabbatical after 7 years; eligibility for US Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
