About
Development and Communications Manager
As a key member of our team, the Development and Communications Manager will play a critical role in facilitating the growth of our fundraising program and managing organizational communications.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the growth of the fundraising program with a focus on researching, cultivating, and securing foundation grants
- Manage general organizational communications including social media, marketing collateral, newsletters, website, and publications
- Draft, design, target, and deliver regular fundraising communications including solicitations, grant proposals, reports, and donor updates
- Coordinate identification of foundation prospects and major donor leads, conduct research, and set up meetings with prospective supporters
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in development, communications, or a related field
- Proven track record of securing foundation grants and managing fundraising programs
- Excellent writing, design, and project management skills
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with donor database management software (e.g. Raiser's Edge, Salesforce)
- Knowledge of social media platforms and marketing strategies
- Familiarity with design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite)
- Experience with event planning and execution

Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/work experience
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in nonprofit fundraising
- Proficient in WordPress, Canva, Microsoft 365, Constant Contact, and Google Workspace
- Strong oral and written communications skills including copy editing and proofreading abilities
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
