Developer Platforms Engineer

• Manage, secure, and promote developer platforms (GitHub, AWS, Azure) across Centrica, handling support issues and onboarding new platforms.
• Build automations to improve developer processes, deliver guardrails, and enable teams with feature demos and templates.
• Collaborate with stakeholders (Infosec, Strategy, Architecture) to ensure platforms meet requirements and provide guidance on best practices.

This role enables development teams across Centrica to deliver software more efficiently and robustly, supporting the company's transition to a greener, fairer energy system by modernizing platforms and scaling automation.

• 3+ years experience with GitHub and cloud computing (AWS or Azure).
• Demonstrable git skills and experience with configuration management tools like Terraform.
• Proficiency in at least one language: Go, Python, or Node.js.
• Experience with continuous integration systems and running highly available services.
