Desk Assistant - Sovereign, Supranational & Agency

• Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support to brokers on the SSA desk, ensuring efficient running of trading activity.
• Accurately capture and maintain trade details, monitor and reconcile trades, and update live trading screens with real-time market data.
• Assist brokers with price discovery, liquidity identification, and market context across SSA instruments.
• Contribute to desk reporting, process improvements, and operational efficiency initiatives.

This role supports the efficient functioning of the SSA desk, enabling liquidity and price discovery in government and quasi-government bond markets, which are critical for public financing and economic stability.

• Educated to GCSE and/or A-Level standard (or equivalent).
• Demonstrable interest in financial markets, particularly fixed income, rates, or government-related debt markets (SSA).
• Strong attention to detail, high numeracy, and systems proficiency including Excel.
• Ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced trading environment.
