Designer IV, CAD/3D

Core responsibilities:

• Create relevant 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings of various equipment, equipment integration, plant layout, structures, systems and/or components
• Perform a variety of design/drafting activities including preparing and updating manufacturing drawings
• Maintain system and model compatibility in X-energy's Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and Plant Design Environments (PDE)
• Work closely with responsible engineers to develop mechanical/physical concepts, designs, and processes to create structures, systems and components

This role contributes to the design and development of advanced nuclear reactor technology, supporting the transition to clean, reliable energy solutions that can help address climate change and energy security challenges.

Required qualifications:

• Associate's degree in drafting, CAD, engineering or related degree OR High School Diploma with relevant experience
• Typically ten years of experience in a CAD/3D drafter/designer role
• Experience using 3D CAD software (e.g. UG/NX, SolidWorks, PTC Creo/Pro-E, or similar)
• Experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software (e.g. Teamcenter, Windchill, or similar)
