Design Engineer I- Electrical (PV & BESS)

Core responsibilities:

• Create electrical engineering plans, details, and calculations for renewable energy and substation projects
• Perform design tasks on small projects or portions of larger projects, providing design drawings including one-line and three-line diagrams, electrical layouts, AC/DC schematics, and cable schedules
• Participate in creating equipment specifications for renewable energy systems including PV solar modules, inverters, battery energy storage systems (BESS), transformers, and balance-of-system components
• Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks under close supervision

This role contributes to the energy transition by designing large-scale renewable energy projects that help fight climate change, with Revamp engineers having designed more than 10% of all solar generation capacity installed in the US since 2020.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or another engineering field with extensive electrical coursework
• Some prior experience (including academic and internship experience) designing and drafting utilizing AutoCAD
• Familiarity with reading and applying sections of the NEC and understanding codes and standards
• Ability to identify and solve complex problems with strong verbal and written communication skills
