Deputy Director

Core responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the President and Chief of Staff to develop and refine national campaign strategy
• Provide senior leadership and supervision across several departments, including policy, communications, and organizing
• Supervise campaign managers and State Directors in key states where wage legislation or ballot measures are advancing
• Serve as a public spokesperson for One Fair Wage, representing the organization with clarity, credibility, and authenticity

This role helps lift millions of service workers out of poverty nationwide and engages them in the political process that governs their lives by advancing policy, voter engagement, and narrative shift activities.

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in worker and/or community organizing and organizing campaigns
• Significant experience in senior-level supervision, strategy development, and people management
• Demonstrated experience developing and advancing campaign or advocacy strategy in complex, fast-moving environments
• Strong track record of building systems, supervising people, and creating structures that help teams work effectively

One Fair Wage offers a salary range of $121,000–$130,000, depending on experience, along with medical and dental benefits. You will join a highly capable, committed, and values-driven national team.
