Deputy Director of Investigations

• Direct and supervise investigations from inception to publication, including pitches, outlines, risk assessments, drafts, and developmental edits
• Serve as developmental editor on all investigative projects, ensuring alignment with mission, strategic objectives, and evidentiary requirements
• Lead security risk assessments and develop plans to address physical, legal, cyber, and reputational risks
• Work with investigators to identify impactful investigations focusing on illicit financial flows supporting conflict, corruption, and natural resource exploitation

This role creates positive change by investigating and exposing multinational predatory networks that benefit from violent conflict and corruption, providing evidence for governments and law enforcement to hold perpetrators accountable and alter incentive structures that undermine peace and good governance.

• Bachelor's degree with at least 7+ years of experience supervising investigations
• Track record of authoring and supervising publications with superior writing and developmental editing skills
• Organized and effective in fast-paced environments, balancing multiple projects while meeting deadlines
• Well-developed decision-making, planning, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
