Deputy Director

• Lead fundraising strategy and execution, cultivating major donors, sponsors, and institutional partners.
• Help build the Board of Directors by identifying and engaging prospective board members.
• Build public engagement through events, pop-up exhibitions, webinars, and special programs.
• Guide strategic planning and organizational development as the museum grows.

This role helps build a national institution that shapes how millions understand food's impact on our bodies, communities, and planet, blending culture, science, storytelling, public health, and the environment.

• Strong track record of fundraising success with major donors and foundations at museums or cultural institutions.
• Experience building and working with boards of directors.
• Experience in museum administration, cultural nonprofits, or mission-driven institutions.
• Ability to build trust and enthusiasm among donors and collaborators; passion for educating the public on food, culture, public health, or environmental sustainability.

Full-time position with fully remote work; living in Washington–Baltimore, New York City, or California may be advantageous. Salary not specified.
