Data Science Manager, Supply

Core responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, providing technical guidance and career development support
• Own the data science roadmap for supply, focusing on demand forecasting, positioning system optimization, fleet health, and hardware innovations
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to design and test data-driven deployment and labor pricing strategies
• Develop and deploy machine learning and optimization models to enhance vehicle positioning, routing, and operational efficiency

This role drives data science initiatives that optimize vehicle supply, rider experience, and operational efficiency, contributing to Lime's mission of building a future where transportation is shared, affordable and carbon-free.

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of industry experience in data science, with at least 1+ year of leadership experience (managing or mentoring data scientists)
• MS or PhD in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a related field
• Deep expertise in forecasting, optimization, and machine learning
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in data analysis, machine learning, and automation
• Strong experimentation skills – experience in A/B testing, causal inference, and experimental design
