What You’ll Be Doing
Cadmus is seeking a Data Engineer to support one of our commercial customers in the media space. This team supports vital Ads engineering and data needs for a major auto advertising platform using big data technologies. They are looking for an engineer to work with their team who enjoys building and supporting a future vision of demystifying advertisement performance data. Th current program involves a migration of ETL from their Goggle cloud platform to an AWS platform. An experienced data engineer is needed to support ensuring business continuity and to take the opportunity to optimize and improve the code during the migration.

Responsibilities
- Document and highlight the business inputs
- Use the AWS data ingestion and ETL applications
- Use the AWS scheduling application
- Perform intense data testing
- Assess and verify the data after the code is migrated
Qualifications
- Needs to be able to understand the business logic behind the ETL code
- Needs to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and good public speaking and presentation skills
- Needs to have the ability to communicate with business stakeholders and refine their requests into technical specifications
- Needs to have willingness to take ownership of new projects and drive them to completion
- Needs to have passion for continuous integration, testing, and automation
- Needs to have 5+ years experience in data engineering development and/or big data management and solutions
- Needs to have 2+ years experience in the following tech stack
- Apache Spark (Scala)
- Python
- Scala
- Apache Airflow
- AWS
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Apache Hive
- Big Data technologies (distributed systems, large-scale data processing)
- Kubernetes (Pods, containerized workloads)
- BigQuery or similar data warehouse technologies
- Familiarity with REST API consumption patterns
Additional Information:
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.
Based on eligibility and job status, Cadmus offers an excellent benefits package to include: medical, dental, vision, company paid disability and life insurance, 401(k) program, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, voluntary time off (VTO), tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance program, other optional benefits and various bonus programs.
The minimum starting salary for this position is $85,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
