Data Engineer

• Build and maintain data pipelines from regulatory APIs and public records.
• Design and ship web-based tools for public-facing research.
• Apply AI and emerging tools to analyze records, filings, and reports.
• Create data visualizations and train teammates on data use.

This role helps expose the harms of fossil-fuel and utility monopolies, accelerating the transition to clean energy and protecting ratepayers and democracy.

• Strong software engineering experience, including end-to-end data pipeline and tool development.
• Proficiency in Python (or comparable language) and SQL.
• Experience with data ingestion from APIs, web scraping, and document parsing.
• Experience building data visualization tools or interactive dashboards.
