Data Center Application Engineer

• Lead regional Application Engineering activities and support Business Development for Data Center segment by understanding market trends and securing anticipated growth impact.
• Engage customers early in sales cycle through technical and strategic insights, acting as voice of customer within organization and ensuring solutions align with market needs.
• Organize and conduct Customer Transformer Trainings, attend industry conferences, influence specifications, and provide technical support to customer contacts.
• Provide internal technical trainings, develop tender strategy recommendations, and engage factory and tender engineering teams to build trust and integration.

This role drives profitable growth and reinforces Hitachi Energy's position as a trusted partner in the Data Center segment by providing technical expertise that helps optimize energy infrastructure for data centers.

• Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical or electromechanical engineering or equivalent; master's degree or industry accreditation (CIGRE, IEC) is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with 5 years in technical roles like transformer design and direct customer interaction in tender or order execution capacity.
• Technical skills in transformers with ability to connect technical teams to marketing teams across countries within the HUB.
• Intercultural sensitivity and excellent communication skills in English (required) and other European languages (plus); willingness to travel 30-50%.
