Data Associate

Core responsibilities:

• Offer thoughtful, thorough, and speedy data and technology service and support to diverse members with varying needs and levels of technical expertise
• Ensure member staff have needed access and permissions to tools and resources
• Use SQL to complete list pulls, list matches, or other scripts and be the default reviewer for SQL changes
• Set up scheduled templated syncs upon member request and audit user accounts across critical tools

This role helps ensure that every organizer, advocate, and changemaker in the progressive movement has what they need to create bold, people-powered change by democratizing access to tools, data, and strategic expertise that help members organize more efficiently, campaign more effectively, and drive lasting impact across the movement.

Required qualifications:

• Novice to basic SQL skills
• Strong customer support acumen with ability to distill complex ideas into simple language
• Excellent organizational practices with strong project and time management skills
• Dedication to progressive issues and campaigns

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with voter file, census data or other large datasets
• Experience working on campaigns or advocacy organizations
• Experience with data visualization
• Experience with NGP VAN, ActionKit, ActionNetwork or other progressive tools
