Mission

What you will drive

  • Collaborate with other teams to understand their challenges and identify opportunities for using data solutions to improve efficiency and/or drive informed decision making
  • Design slick data models that allow business users to fetch insights themselves, supported by documentation & governance tools to keep those insights trustworthy
  • Create and maintain automated dashboards and reports that are effective in helping stakeholders monitor key performance indicators and easily make decisions
  • Champion and encourage our self-serve users to get stuck in and continuously improve our decentralised analytics capability, coaching them in how to create genuinely impactful insights
  • Use data analytics and data science to help us work out what we do well, what we should improve, and what we should do next
  • Help shaping the direction of our growing team

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • You'll have a keen interest in improving data literacy in a growing business, and using technology to automate processes so we can focus on interesting problems
  • You'll be self-driven and curious, you're not afraid to take ownership when things get complicated
  • You'll be brilliant at turning those vague "what if's" or big challenges into clear-cut goals and requirements
  • You'll be eager to tackle with complexity and don't mind working across the whole data lifecycle
  • Ideally you'll have at least 3-4 years of experience working in data teams
  • You'll have great attention to detail
  • You'll have experience in the following (in rough priority order): SQL (experience in writing performant, maintainable data models), DBT (or other data modelling frameworks), Data quality, integrity and governance, Data visualisation (dashboarding / storytelling), Python
  • You'll have passion about shaping the direction of the team, and excitement about working across all areas of the business
