About the Role
The role involves working with data analysis, research, project management, and communication to support city-level projects.
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis: Regularly use Excel or statistical software to analyze large sets of city Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) 9-1-1 police calls for service data to identify police calls that could be diverted to community responders and assess the impact of existing community responder programs.
- Research: Conduct research on specialized topics to assist in crafting detailed city-level reports and national best practice projects.
- Project Management: Self-motivate and remain organized in a fast-paced remote working environment, tracking and managing notes, contacts, and next steps for multiple concurrent projects across numerous cities.
- Communication: Attract interest in LEAP data analysis projects from city officials and manage communication throughout those projects, identifying and engaging with city staff and organizing calls with stakeholders.

Required qualifications:

- Experience using Excel or statistical software to analyze and glean insights from large datasets
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks
- Strong writing skills for explaining data analysis, writing reports, and communicating with key stakeholders
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences, demonstrating professionalism and empathy
- 2-5 years of relevant professional experience required
