About the Role

The Customer Quality Specialist is responsible for being the point of contact for company customers who require field support or warranty service, including the RMA process and evaluation follow-up.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to C&D's customers via phone, e-mail, and instant message
  • Review and process warranty claims
  • Review customer test and maintenance logs to identify potential issues
  • Coordinate warranty work with C&D agents and sub-contractors
  • Coordinate technical evaluation of all C&D-sponsored SMP contracts
  • Determine when batteries reported as defective should be returned to a lab facility for RCCA analysis
  • Update documents as they pertain to any process utilized by the Customer Quality Team
  • Follow quality system procedures
  • Up to 10% travel to customer sites and manufacturing locations

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • High school diploma required; three years' relevant experience in quality and manufacturing, preferably in an ISO environment
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Applications, especially Word, Excel, and Databases. Must have Proficiency in MS Excel with the ability to perform basic analysis of data and create charts
  • 3+ years of experience with customer/technical support
  • Highly motivated self-starter; must be able to work with minimum supervision
  • Must be outgoing in personality with strong relationship skills for customers, colleagues, and senior management personnel
  • High standard of business and personal ethics
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and/or a science discipline preferred
  • 6 Sigma Green Belt or experience in quality/manufacturing
  • 3+ years of experience with stationary battery applications such as Telecom, UPS, or Substation DC systems
