Customer Onboarding Specialist

Core responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for prospective customers calling to join Octopus Energy, providing friendly and informative service.
• Speak with potential or existing customers to educate them about products and services, assisting with tariff selection to suit their needs.
• Handle customer queries and objections confidently over the phone, ensuring promotion of Octopus Energy's best qualities while acting in the customer's best interests.
• Onboard customers by guiding them through the discovery process and becoming a product expert to support both new and existing customers.

This role creates positive change by providing exceptional customer service that helps prospective and existing customers access sustainable energy solutions, promoting Octopus Energy's mission to make green energy affordable and accessible.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Excellent communication and people skills, with a focus on listening and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in fast-paced customer service, operations, or telesales environments is advantageous.
• Honest, focused, and committed to delivering high levels of customer service, with adaptability and willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to handle high volumes of enquiries, be a quick learner, and open to challenges, including supporting existing customers.
