Mission

What you will drive

  • Develop and execute CUCFA's communications strategy across social media, newsletters, press, and website to advance faculty organizing and advocacy.
  • Create and schedule engaging content for platforms including Bluesky, Instagram, and YouTube, and design original graphics and multimedia posts.
  • Write and distribute a monthly member newsletter, draft press releases and public statements, and maintain media relationships.
  • Manage the CUCFA website (WordPress) and support local Faculty Association websites with content updates.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Demonstrated experience in communications, digital media, or public affairs for a union, labor organization, faculty association, or progressive advocacy group.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with ability to communicate complex policy issues clearly.
  • Hands-on experience managing social media accounts and creating content across multiple platforms; proficiency with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Inkscape, Adobe Express).
  • Experience writing newsletters, press releases, or other organizational communications; ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
