Credit Underwriter – Nonprofit Lending

• Analyze financial statements, Form 990 filings, budgets, and forecasts to assess creditworthiness of nonprofit borrowers.
• Structure and evaluate financing requests including working capital, term loans, bridge loans, and revenue-based products.
• Prepare underwriting summaries and credit memoranda for internal review and lender presentation.

This role directly enables nonprofits and social enterprises to access flexible capital, empowering them to scale their missions and create positive social change.

• 4+ years of experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, nonprofit lending, or CDFI underwriting.
• Strong financial statement analysis skills, including interpretation of nonprofit financials and Form 990.
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and experience with Docusign, Salesforce, or LOS systems.
• Clear written and verbal communication, ability to manage multiple transactions independently.
