We reach millions of people annually with the accurate information, counseling, and referrals they need to make informed health decisions. WFD operates the following three platforms: safe2choose.org – A Global Hub for Abortion Seekers safe2choose helps people find accurate, stigma-free guidance on abortion pills and services. It provides a range of digital tools, including country-specific legal, medical, and logistic information, testimonials and pregnancy checkers. safe2choose provides hybrid counselling, combining an AI-driven chatbot (Ally) to answer questions quickly with multilingual human counsellors to manage complex cases. For users that need it, we refer to vetted local providers for on-the-ground support. HowToUseAbortionPill.org – Training Providers How To Use supports the nurses, pharmacists, and community providers who are often the first point of contact for abortion care. Through simple and accurate online courses How To Use builds the confidence and capacity of providers everywhere to support women through their abortions. Findmymethod.org – Expanding Contraception Access Find My Method empowers users to explore, compare, and access modern contraceptive options in a sex-positive, inclusive way. It combats misinformation and stigma by providing accurate information and answering questions quickly via our AI-driven chatbot (Myka). THE OPPORTUNITY Women First Digital is seeking a Country Consultant to strengthen the safe2choose provider network in Nigeria. This work is structured around three priorities: increasing the number and quality of providers in the safe2choose referral database; increasing uptake of WFD's provider-facing e-learning courses; and expanding adoption of Ally-By-Your-Side among frontline providers. We are looking for someone with established networks in Nigeria's SRHR ecosystem, experience working in high-stigma or legally restrictive contexts, and the credibility to engage healthcare providers, community actors, and advocacy networks. This is a remote consultancy open to Nigeria-based persons with reliable internet access. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Database Audit & Validation Initiate contact with the existing partners in the safe2choose referral database to verify the accuracy of services, contact information, and safety protocols. Identify and flag outdated or inactive contacts for removal or follow-up. Ensure all partner records in the database are complete, current, and reflect services available in Nigeria. New Partner Engagement Identify and engage 20 new trusted partners to expand access to affordable services outside major cities, with a focus on access to pills, second-trimester support, and legal and emotional care. Build relationships with new actors who can provide access to pills, second trimester support, legal guidance, or emotional/psychological care. Ensure new partners complete the online database form with accurate, context-sensitive information. WFD Tool Promotion Present WFD provider-facing tools — including e-learning courses and Ally-By-Your-Side — to both new and existing partners. Drive enrollment in e-learning courses and adoption of Ally-By-Your-Side across the partner network. Target: 50 new certificates in e-learning from Nigeria and 30 conversations with Ally-By-Your-Side in Nigeria during the implementation period. Document presentations made and track uptake of tools among engaged providers. Country Profile & Knowledge Sharing Revise and update the Nigeria country profile on safe2choose, aligning it with the current legal framework and ensuring language is user-centered and consistent with the safe2choose tone. Deliver one virtual training session (1–1.5 hours) for the safe2choose counselling team on Nigeria's current landscape and safe referral framing. Submit a comprehensive final report including a verified contact list, analysis of challenges and opportunities in the Nigerian SRHR ecosystem, and recommendations for long-term network sustainability. PHASED WORK PLAN & DELIVERABLES The consultancy will be conducted over a 3-month period with an estimated workload of 24–30 working days. Phase 2: Strategic Engagement & Tool Promotion (Month 2) Identify and engage 20 new trusted partners to expand access to affordable services outside major cities. Promote enrollment in e-learning courses and drive adoption of Ally-By-Your-Side among new partners. Target: 50 new certificates in e-learning from Nigeria and 30 conversations with Ally-By-Your-Side in Nigeria during the implementation period. Ensure new partners complete the online database form with accurate, context-sensitive information. Deliverable 2: Mid-term update including the status of verified contacts, new partner outreach, and Ally-By-Your-Side and e-learning presentations. Phase 3: Training, Consolidation & Final Reporting (Month 3) Deliver one virtual training session (1–1.5 hours) for the safe2choose counselling team on Nigeria's current landscape and safe referral framing. Finalise integration of new partners and document all 2026 targets for tool promotion. Submit a comprehensive final report including a verified and updated contact list with service overviews, analysis of challenges and opportunities in the Nigerian SRHR ecosystem, and recommendations for long-term network sustainability. Deliverable 3: Final summary report and finalized database updates. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Essential Established connections and experience working with healthcare systems, medical networks, and sexual and reproductive rights organisations in Nigeria. Experience building and maintaining partnerships in high-stigma or legally restrictive contexts. Strong communication skills and understanding of data confidentiality and digital security. Professional written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to work independently, manage multiple stakeholder relationships, and deliver against clear deliverable milestones. Deep commitment to reproductive rights and stigma-free SRHR information. Must have a laptop and a personal phone with a strong and stable internet connection. Desirable Background in SRHR advocacy in Nigeria. Fluency in Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, or other Nigerian languages. Prior experience working with WFD, safe2choose, or similar digital SRHR platforms. Experience facilitating virtual training sessions or online community of practice engagement. Familiarity with provider-facing digital health tools and e-learning platforms. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE A verified, accurate, and expanded safe2choose referral database for Nigeria, with at least 20 new partners onboarded. At least 50 new certificates in e-learning from Nigeria and at least 30 conversations with Ally-By-Your-Side in Nigeria. An updated, user-centered Nigeria country profile live on safe2choose. The safe2choose counselling team equipped with improved knowledge of Nigeria's referral landscape and safe framing approaches. A well-documented final report that provides actionable recommendations for the long-term sustainability of WFD's Nigeria network.
