Controller

• Lead month-end close and financial reporting across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Establish and enforce accounting policies in accordance with GAAP and manage audit readiness.
• Design and maintain internal controls, manage cash and treasury operations.
• Support annual budgeting, variance analysis, and provide financial insights for decision-making.

This role ensures financial integrity and transparency for a nonpartisan venture fund that invests in election reforms to foster a more representative and functional government, directly supporting democratic resilience.

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leading accounting functions in multi-entity environments.
• Strong command of GAAP and high-quality financial reporting standards.
• Experience in startup or high-growth environments with ability to build processes from the ground up.
• CPA (or equivalent) preferred.
