About the Role
Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, general ledger management, and monthly close
- Prepare and maintain accurate internal financial reports, statements, and dashboards to support operational and leadership decision-making
- Oversee and improve the development of and compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and audit readiness across the organization
- Lead public and private grant budgeting, fund allocations, and reporting compliance

Required qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (required)
- Minimum 6-8 years of nonprofit financial operations experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or Controller-level role
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex financial systems with multiple funding streams, including recent management experience of federal/state grants, private foundation grants, and restricted donor funds
- Expertise with Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel (required). Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms (required)
