Control Room Manager

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of shift-based Control Room Engineers for 24/7 coverage of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) operations.
• Oversee real-time monitoring of all BESS assets using SCADA, EMS, BMS, and other platforms, ensuring safe and compliant operation within OEM limits and contract requirements.
• Own the escalation framework for alarms, faults, and anomalies, reviewing major incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance with Field Service Teams, monitor operational trends for early signs of degradation, and work with analytics teams to improve predictive maintenance models.
• Maintain SOPs for monitoring, incident handling, maintenance, and shift operations, driving continuous improvement across workflows, alarm strategy, and uptime.

This role ensures safe, reliable, and compliant operation of Battery Energy Storage Systems, contributing to the deployment and optimization of renewable energy storage solutions that support grid stability and clean energy transition.

Required Skills, Experience, Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in control room, industrial monitoring, or energy operations, with strong understanding of BESS behavior, SCADA/EMS/BMS systems, and alarm management.
• Proven leadership in 24/7 operational environments, with experience managing shift-based teams and conducting performance reviews, training, and competency development.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, ability to make decisions under pressure, and skilled in workflow management and process optimization.
• Knowledge of KPIs such as availability, CRTE, and maintenance metrics, with preferred experience in supplier-side or OEM roles with BESS, power electronics, or renewables.
