Contract Grant Writer

Core responsibilities:

• Research, conceptualize, write, submit, and manage grant proposals and applications for government, foundation, and corporate opportunities to support WOC client organizations' programming and operations.
• Collaborate with the WOC team and client staff to gather relevant information to develop compelling grant applications and supporting documentation.
• Manage deadlines and workflows for Letters of Intent (LOIs), grant applications, and reports, including internal deadlines for information collection, to ensure timely submission and a high success rate of funding requests.
• Attend virtual meetings with WOC and clients to plan, develop strategy, and track grants.

This role creates positive change by securing funding for nonprofit organizations through grant writing, enabling them to expand their programming and operations to better serve their missions in areas like human services, social justice, and gender equality.

Required skills and experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of professional grant writing experience.
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong project management skills.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience using grant search tools, CRMs, and project management tools.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in human services, social justice, gender equality, human rights, international development, and philanthropy.

Compensation: $42/hour for up to 25 hours per month. This is a remote, contractual position beginning in February until June 30th, with the potential for renewal.
