What you will drive

  • Develop and implement national-level case studies demonstrating the translation of atmospheric methane measurements into greenhouse gas inventories.
  • Identify 3-5 countries to engage with on integrating atmospheric measurements into inventories.
  • Convene interviews with country points of contact and UNFCCC inventory program.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Familiarity with national greenhouse gas inventories and IPCC inventory methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of the UNFCCC transparency framework (Biennial Transparency Reports, NDCs, National Inventory Reports, Global Stocktake).
  • Familiarity with atmospheric methane observations, inversion modeling, or emissions verification.
  • Background in methane emissions accounting across energy, agriculture, waste, wetlands, or natural systems.
