Mission

What you will drive

  • Identify and support dedicated conservation NGOs who are engaged with Protected Areas in need of assistance (e.g., parks facing challenges) that are IUCN Members
  • Assist each partner to build their communications capacity and enhance their fundraising efforts
  • Help develop, support, and oversee specific Protected Area projects with each partner

This role creates positive change by building capacity and supporting conservation actions across West and Central Africa, helping to protect vulnerable ecosystems and reduce deforestation in Protected Areas.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Conservation, or other relevant fields (Master's or doctorate is a bonus)
  • 5+ years of related conservation and/or protected area management experience with examples of positive impacts and reducing deforestation for PAs
  • Strong writing and communication skills with fluency in English required (French language skills are a bonus)
  • Ability to work independently in remote and challenging environments
