Computational Hydrogeologist

• Develop multiple alternative groundwater management strategies and quality metrics for KoBold's exploration projects.
• Design data collection programs and build numerical simulations to evaluate water management strategies.
• Work with data scientists to develop novel approaches and tools for hydrogeologic insights.

This role directly contributes to the discovery and development of critical metals like copper and lithium needed for electric vehicles, renewable energy, and data centers, enabling the transition to a sustainable energy future.

• Bachelor's or post-graduate degree in hydrogeology, geology, computational geoscience, or related field.
• 6-10 years of work experience, including at least 2 years in mining hydrogeology.
• Deep expertise in computational modeling of porous media flows and coupled groundwater/surface-water systems.
• Experience with modeling software such as MODFLOW or FEFLOW.

Full-time exempt position. US base salary range: $150,000 - $200,000. Remote work with preference for candidates authorized to work in the US, Canada, South Africa, UK, or Zambia. Equal opportunity employer.
