Community Health Epidemiologist

Core responsibilities:

• Supporting primary data collection efforts, including survey development, survey implementation, database management, and data cleaning strategies.
• Developing and maintaining data dashboards using Tableau to meet programmatic needs and priorities.
• Supporting the development and implementation of evaluation and analysis plans for the Office of Oral Health and other programs within DCBPC.
• Conducting epidemiologic and statistical analyses using SAS and/or R within various clinical and population-based data sources.

This role supports public health programs that prevent illness, injury, and premature death while promoting wellness and health equity for all people in Massachusetts, directly contributing to improved community health outcomes.

Required qualifications:

• MPH in epidemiology or biostatistics
• At least two (2) years of relevant work experience performing epidemiologic work or work in a closely related field
• Superior knowledge of epidemiology study design and statistical methodology
• Experience conducting data analyses using SAS and/or R
• Experience with survey design and survey data collection
• Experience with program evaluation design and implementation
• Experience with dashboard development and maintenance using Tableau
• Experience with a variety of statistical methods including multivariate linear and logistic regression

Salary: $80,000 (plus benefits). The position includes standard employment benefits, though relocation expenses are not included.
