Community Fundraising Officer - West Midlands, Wales and Southwest

Core responsibilities:

• Build relationships with supporters, families, and event participants to fundraise for MDUK's mission
• Work closely with field-based colleagues to provide support and ensure growth of income
• Develop long-term relationships with supporters through meetings and event assistance
• Travel within the West Midlands, Wales and South West region to meet supporters and attend events

This role helps fund groundbreaking research to understand muscle-wasting conditions better and lead to new treatments, while also supporting people's rights, better understanding, accessibility, and access to treatments for 110,000 affected individuals in the UK.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Ability to travel within the region and attend events (including some evenings and weekends)
• Positive attitude reflecting the charity's values and commitment to disability issues, equality, diversity and inclusion
• Demonstrated role model behavior and commitment to organizational development
• Experience in community engagement and relationship building
