How to Apply for Community Engagement Manager
at CureSearch for Children's Cancer
🏢 About CureSearch for Children's Cancer
CureSearch for Children's Cancer is unique as a fully remote, volunteer-led organization that accelerates high-impact pediatric cancer research while empowering local communities. Working here means joining a mission-driven team where every day you directly support the 42 families who receive a childhood cancer diagnosis daily, through a collaborative model that elevates community leadership to expand national reach.
About This Role
As Community Engagement Manager, you'll grow CureSearch's presence in assigned markets by empowering Leadership Volunteers (Community Leadership Boards) to increase regional fundraising, cultivate corporate relationships, and connect with local patient families. A key responsibility is coaching Ultimate Hike participants in your markets as their fundraising mentor and mission ambassador, making this role central to both community activation and signature event success.
💡 A Day in the Life
A typical day might involve virtual meetings with Community Leadership Board members to strategize regional initiatives, coaching several Ultimate Hike participants on their fundraising plans, researching potential corporate partners in your market, and connecting with local patient families to understand community needs - all while collaborating remotely with program staff and your supervisor to align efforts.
