About This Role
As a Community Canvasser, you'll be the face of NYUC, engaging with New Yorkers in their neighborhoods to understand their child care needs and inspire them to join the movement. Your work will directly fuel our advocacy and organizing efforts, turning personal stories into powerful change.
💡 A Day in the Life
Your day might start with a quick virtual check-in with your supervisor to get your assigned neighborhood and goals. Then you'll head out, knocking on doors or tabling at a local park, engaging in conversations with parents and caregivers, listening to their experiences, and inviting them to get involved. You'll record stories and contact info, and end your shift by submitting your data and debriefing on your experiences.
