Communications Specialist

Core responsibilities:

• Independently oversee comprehensive communications programs including written, visual, digital, and electronic communications across multiple channels
• Plan and implement events and functions that support the Center's research and program goals, including symposiums, conferences, webinars, and VIP briefings
• Manage CLTC website including recommending upgrades, implementing usability improvements, and creating content
• Implement CLTC's digital media strategy including managing social media accounts and creating editorial content

This role helps build secure digital futures by ensuring the Center's research and scholarship on digital security reaches academic audiences, policymakers, industry leaders, and civil society partners, while supporting the Center's role as a convener and fundraising function.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
• Knowledge of all aspects of communications function in a research setting, including strategic communications planning across multiple channels and audiences
• Knowledge of CLTC and its achievements, mission, vision, goals, policies, and strong knowledge of current affairs in cybersecurity and AI security research
• Knowledge of computer applications such as Canva and WordPress for publishing, image handling, and web production
• Proven ability to provide end-to-end logistical and operational support for small and large events
