About the Role
The Communications Officer will be responsible for planning and delivering effective communications for the Lost Woods of the Low Weald and Downs project.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver communications for the Lost Woods of the Low Weald and Downs project, including creating and implementing the annual communications plan
- Create, edit, coordinate, and publish content across various channels (website, social media, press, print, and online marketing materials)
- Work with external suppliers to build and launch a new website, and plan and implement communications and marketing campaigns
- Maximize opportunities to promote NLHF's funding and support from National Lottery players through project communications

Required skills and experience:
- Excellent digital skills including managing social media, website pages, and experience with content management systems
- Proven ability to plan, write, and edit copy for different audiences, with strong proofreading, copywriting, and editing skills
- Experience working with external suppliers (designers, film makers, web developers) and on partnership projects
- Experience in the not-for-profit and/or environment/conservation/heritage sectors, with experience handling media enquiries and generating regional press coverage
