Communications Intern (Media)

Core responsibilities:

• Support the Communications team in monitoring media developments, understanding journalist and peer landscapes
• Monitor media sources (newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires, social media, blogs) for opportunities
• Conduct strategic analysis of media coverage for CEEW and peers monthly, design high-impact collaterals for events and social media
• Maintain media databases, create new databases, proofread and edit key documents

This role supports CEEW's communications efforts to amplify research and policy impact on energy, environment and water issues, helping to drive sustainable development and climate action in India.

Required qualifications:

• Master's/Bachelor's degree in development communications, journalism, PR or related disciplines
• 0-1 year experience in public relations, media outreach, and strategic coverage analysis
• Prior experience in creative writing/copywriting, editing, designing, secondary research and coordination
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written) and reasonable grasp of Hindi
• Strong aesthetic sense, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple timelines
