Communications Generalist

Core responsibilities:

• Owning CivAI's social media presence across Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other platforms
• Posting regularly with a consistent cadence (e.g., daily on Twitter, 1x/week on LinkedIn)
• Turning CivAI's demos, launches, articles, and press hits into compelling social content
• Engaging with our audience and the broader AI conversation online
• Running paid social campaigns when relevant
• Measuring what's working and iterating on our approach

This role creates positive change by communicating AI risks to billions of people worldwide, helping build public understanding and pressure for careful, conscientious AI development rather than haphazard competition.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Proven track record of building an audience on social media—either for an organization or yourself
• Plugged into the AI conversation online and understand the landscape of who's talking about what
• Can move quickly to capitalize on timely moments and news
• Good judgment about what will resonate with a general audience vs. a niche one
• Comfortable with both organic posting and paid social campaigns
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats beyond core responsibilities
• Deeply aligned with CivAI's mission of helping the world better understand the implications and risks of advanced AI

Compensation and benefits:

• Salary range: $90,000 - $130,000
