What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic communications plans to drive conservation policy, electoral wins, and fundraising goals across earned, digital, and paid channels
  • Lead media relations strategy as primary press contact, cultivate reporter relationships, oversee press events, and monitor media coverage
  • Determine organizational messaging, tone, and framing, ensuring consistency across platforms
  • Manage and mentor communications team, providing strategic direction and promoting a culture of feedback and accountability

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • 4-6 years working in communications, media, or related field
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills with experience producing content across digital and earned media
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic communications and messaging development
  • Experience building relationships with reporters and pitching stories
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to direct, coach, and motivate staff in collaborative team settings
