What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Lead the Communication Department and serve as a member of the organization's leadership/senior management team
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communications initiatives across traditional and digital platforms
  • Shape the public voice and amplify the visibility of the organization while ensuring alignment with mission, values, and programmatic goals
  • Advance ACLU-MT's integrated advocacy efforts through strategic communications

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Demonstrated deep commitment to civil rights and liberties with sophisticated understanding of strategic communications
  • Experience in both internal and external communications across media relations, digital/social media strategy, speechwriting, brand management, and fundraising communications
  • Strong news judgment, political acumen, and ability to lead during crisis or heightened visibility periods
  • Cultural competency to effectively communicate about social justice issues with diverse audiences and impacted communities

  • Annual salary between $101,000 and $111,000 depending on experience
