What you will drive

About

OWA is seeking a skilled Communications & Data Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for creating engaging content, managing data integrity, and developing communications plans to support our mission.

Responsibilities

  • Create content and write copy for various platforms including social media, press statements, websites, email blasts, fundraising materials, and digital/printed collateral
  • Manage data integrity in the EveryAction database, including data collection, maintenance, and analysis of gaps or inefficiencies
  • Develop and execute communications plans, manage media relations, create editorial calendars, and support strategic messaging development
  • Train and mentor OWA staff, contractors, and members on data systems and processes as necessary

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in communications, data management, or a related field
  • Proven track record of creating engaging content and managing data systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Familiarity with EveryAction database and other data management tools

Nice to Have

  • Experience with social media management and content creation
  • Knowledge of fundraising and development principles
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience with social media management and content creation, including graphic design and video production
  • 3-5 years of experience with database management
  • Strong communication, facilitation, training, and strategic thinking skills
  • Experience managing and updating websites and knowledge of social media/database tools and best practices

  • Salary range: $60,000 to $65,000 commensurate with experience
