Mission
What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Draft a range of communications products, including social media posts, press releases, talking points, pitches, and fact sheets for a wide audience
- Manage the organization's website and posting schedule on social media
- Track rapid response events in real-time, proactively suggesting content ideas and executing those ideas with senior staff
- Conduct outreach to reporters and partners regarding coalition and earned media opportunities
- Monitor daily media coverage reports for interesting and engaging developments in Congress and the tech industry
- Design graphics and edit videos for social media channels and partner organizations

Required qualifications:
- At least 2 years of communications or digital experience
- Strong writing skills and ability to synthesize complex policy ideas into engaging copy
- Strong organizational skills to balance multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work quickly and independently
- Experience drafting copy for a variety of communications needs
- Interest in politics and knowledge of how the political system works in Washington, D.C. and statehouses
