Communications Associate

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Support the Associate Director of Communications in executing organizational communication strategies across digital and print platforms
• Produce, edit, and format content for website, social media, newsletters, email updates, and promotional materials
• Support advocacy campaigns by producing communications products such as social media graphics, blogs, fact sheets, and email content
• Assist in maintaining content calendars, monitoring online presence, and collecting metrics on communications performance

This role helps elevate The Share Trust's brand, amplify impact, and engage key audiences to fundamentally shift the global system—empowering Global South leaders with greater power and funding to help communities become more resilient and self-directed in their development.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
• Experience or familiarity supporting social media, email newsletters, and websites using platforms like Mailchimp or Squarespace
• Interest or experience in creating visual and digital content using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and changing priorities
• Exposure to advocacy, outreach, or nonprofit communications efforts
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and partners
