Communications Associate

Core responsibilities:

• Support strategic use of multi-channel media across the organization
• Draft and create content including videos, blogs, social media posts, graphics, and media materials
• Monitor trends and opportunities across social media platforms to identify visibility opportunities
• Coordinate tracking of media hits and maintain analytics on earned and owned media

This role creates positive change by amplifying Common Cause's pro-democracy agenda through strategic communications, helping to uphold core values of American democracy and empower people to make their voices heard in the political process.

Required qualifications:

• Demonstrated knowledge of video editing platforms (Canva, Vimeo, Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut) and social media platforms (TikTok, X, Bluesky, Facebook)
• Experience posting content on WordPress and familiarity with office productivity tools including Microsoft Office and Zoom
• Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to meet deadlines for multiple projects
• Demonstrated interest in democracy issues including voting rights, redistricting, campaign finance reform, disinformation, and ethics

Compensation: $72,100-$89,610 annually with geography-specific adjustments
