About

NACOLE is seeking a highly skilled Communication and Event Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, the Communication and Event Coordinator will play a critical role in developing and executing communications and marketing strategies to increase awareness of NACOLE's mission, programs, and events.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and executing communications and marketing strategies to increase awareness of NACOLE's mission, programs, and events
  • Create and distribute newsletters, promotional materials, and digital content aligned with NACOLE's brand and messaging
  • Develop engaging content for NACOLE's website, email campaigns, listservs, donor communications, and social media channels
  • Assist in planning, promoting, and executing NACOLE events including annual conference, regional meetings, webinars, forums, and special events

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or event planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with email marketing software and social media management tools

Nice to Have

  • Experience with event planning software and registration platforms
  • Familiarity with donor management software
  • Knowledge of graphic design principles and video editing software
  • Experience with web content management systems

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, event management, or related field with at least three (3) years of relevant experience (equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree)
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Experience with social media management, email marketing platforms, website content management systems, and event management platforms
  • Basic graphic design skills or experience working with design tools

Benefits

What's in it for you

Salary range: $60,000-$70,000 annually with ICHRA benefits and the option to participate in a 403(b) plan. This is a full-time, remote position that requires occasional work-related travel throughout the year.
