CloudOps Engineer

Core Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and automated cloud infrastructures within Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, containerization with Docker, and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Implement and manage monitoring, logging, security, and compliance solutions including AWS Security Hub, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ensure compliance with security and governance frameworks.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for cloud and infrastructure incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures through automation or configuration improvements.
• Collaborate with client teams to assess infrastructure requirements, propose optimized cloud solutions, and participate in capacity planning, cost optimization, and cloud governance initiatives.

This role creates positive change by ensuring optimal cloud performance, reliability, and compliance for enterprise and Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments, supporting scalable and secure IT infrastructure that enables organizations to operate efficiently and effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure operations within an MSP or enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Security Hub, CloudFormation, CloudWatch), proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code, and solid experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred), Helm charts, and Git.
• Experience with Docker for containerization, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar), and understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, Load Balancing, Firewalls).
• Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to work in a 24/7 managed services environment.
