Climate Associate

• Support applied research and policy development on urban climate resilience, mitigation, and adaptation in South African cities.
• Coordinate project implementation, donor reporting, and stakeholder engagement with city governments and partners.
• Contribute to fundraising and proposal development for climate resilience initiatives.

This role directly supports climate resilience and low-carbon development in South African cities, helping create inclusive, sustainable urban environments that benefit people and the planet.

• Postgraduate degree in climate science, environmental studies, sustainability, urban development, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years full-time relevant work experience in climate, environmental, or urban development initiatives.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects with multiple stakeholders, preferably at international or regional organizations.
• Strong writing and analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
