How to Apply for Client Delivery Lead

at Enode

🏢 About Enode

Enode is building the critical software infrastructure layer that connects and orchestrates green energy hardware (EVs, heat pumps, solar inverters, home batteries) at scale, enabling a flexible, renewable-powered electricity grid. Backed by top-tier investors like Y Combinator and Lowercarbon Capital, they're solving the fundamental challenge of integrating intermittent renewable supply with dynamic demand. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of climate tech, APIs, and energy systems with a company that's literally building the missing piece of the modern grid.

About This Role

As a Client Delivery Lead at Enode, you'll be responsible for ensuring successful implementation and ongoing value delivery of Enode's API products (Connect, Optimize, Flex) to energy retailers, utilities, and traders. This role is impactful because you'll directly enable customers to build next-generation energy services that manage distributed energy resources, making you a key bridge between Enode's technical infrastructure and real-world climate impact through grid flexibility.

💡 A Day in the Life

A typical day might involve coordinating with engineering teams on a client's Connect API integration progress, leading a quarterly business review with a utility customer to demonstrate Flex product value, and troubleshooting optimization issues for an EV charging program. You'll spend time both in technical discussions about API specifications and strategic conversations about how customers can maximize grid flexibility through Enode's platform.

🎯 Who Enode Is Looking For

  • Has 3+ years experience in technical account management, customer success, or implementation roles at API/SaaS companies, preferably in energy, climate tech, or IoT sectors
  • Demonstrates deep understanding of API integrations and can speak fluently about technical concepts while maintaining strong client relationships
  • Shows proven ability to manage complex enterprise implementations with energy companies or similar regulated industries
  • Possesses genuine passion for climate technology and the energy transition, with specific knowledge about EVs, heat pumps, or distributed energy resources

📝 Tips for Applying to Enode

1

Explicitly mention experience with API implementations or SaaS platform delivery - Enode's entire product suite is API-based

2

Highlight any background with energy companies, utilities, or climate tech - this shows domain understanding beyond generic SaaS

3

Demonstrate knowledge of Enode's three products (Connect, Optimize, Flex) and how they work together in your resume or cover letter

4

Include metrics around customer retention, implementation success rates, or NPS improvement from past roles

5

Show how you've handled technical escalations or complex integrations in regulated industries

✉️ What to Emphasize in Your Cover Letter

['Your experience delivering technical solutions to energy companies or similar enterprise clients', 'Specific examples of managing API or platform implementations from kickoff to value realization', "How you've balanced technical understanding with client relationship management in past roles", 'Your motivation for working specifically on the energy transition and distributed energy resources']

🔍 Research Before Applying

To stand out, make sure you've researched:

  • Deep dive into Enode's three products (Connect, Optimize, Flex) on their website - understand what each does and how they complement each other
  • Research their customers (energy retailers, utilities, traders) and the challenges these companies face with grid integration
  • Understand the basics of vehicle-to-grid (V2G), smart charging, and how distributed energy resources create grid flexibility
  • Look into their investors (Y Combinator, Lowercarbon Capital, Creandum) and their typical portfolio companies

💬 Prepare for These Interview Topics

Based on this role, you may be asked about:

1 Walk me through how you'd manage the implementation of Enode's Connect API with a new energy retailer customer
2 How would you handle a situation where a client's EV charging optimization isn't delivering expected results?
3 What experience do you have with energy markets, grid flexibility, or demand response programs?
4 Describe a time you had to explain complex technical limitations to a non-technical stakeholder
5 How would you measure success in this role, and what KPIs would you track for client delivery?
