Clerkship, Animal Legal Education and Scholarship Program (Summer 2026)

• Conduct legal research and create written work products for an aquatic animal law textbook.
• Research legal, factual, regulatory, and policy issues relating to aquatic animals used in entertainment and as companions.
• Compile materials and develop self-study content on animal law topics for ALDF Student Chapters.
• Edit and verify sources, citations, and written materials for accuracy.

This role advances legal protections for aquatic animals by developing educational resources and supporting the Animal Legal Defense Fund's mission to protect the lives and advance the interests of animals through the legal system.

• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Attention to detail for editing and verifying sources.
• Interest in animal law and aquatic animal welfare.
• Ability to assist with outreach, curriculum development, and event planning.

This is a summer clerkship position. Specific compensation and benefits are not mentioned.
