Clerkship, Animal Legal Education and Scholarship Program (Summer 2026)

Core responsibilities:

• Research aquatic animal law and support educational programs for law students interested in animal protection
• Conduct legal, regulatory, and policy research for an Aquatic Animal Law and Policy Textbook
• Edit and check sources and citations while preparing written work products on animal law topics
• Research content and compile materials for ALDF Student Chapters and animal law course packets
• Assist with event planning and data compilation for student programs and databases

This role advances animal protection through legal education and scholarship, supporting the next generation of animal law advocates and contributing to the development of aquatic animal law resources.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Legal research skills in animal law topics
• Experience with editing and citation checking
• Ability to compile educational materials for law students
• Event planning and data compilation capabilities
